Fuel filter (Fuel filter) has Diesel Filter (Diesel filter), gasoline filter (Fuel Filter) and natural Gas filter (Gas filter) three categories.
The function of the fuel filter is to prevent particulate matter, water and impurities in the fuel, to ensure that the precise components of the fuel system are protected from wear and other damage.
Installation and use
The fuel filter is connected in series to the pipe between the fuel pump and the throttle body inlet. The function of the fuel filter is to remove solid debris such as iron oxide and dust contained in the fuel to prevent the fuel system from clogging (especially the fuel nozzle). Reduce mechanical wear, ensure stable engine operation and improve reliability. The structure of the fuel oil is composed of an aluminum shell and a bracket with stainless steel, which is equipped with a high-efficiency filter paper sheet, and the filter paper sheet is chrysanthemum-shaped to increase the circulation area. The EFI filter cannot be used in common with the chemical oil filter. Because the EFI filter often withstand 200-300kpa fuel pressure, the pressure strength of the filter is generally required to reach more than 500KPA, and the oil filter is not necessary to achieve such a high pressure.
The recommended replacement cycle of the fuel filter should vary according to its own structure, performance and use, and cannot be generalized. The recommended replacement cycle for normal maintenance of external filters by most car manufacturers is 48,000 km; For conservative maintenance, the recommended replacement interval ranges from 19,200 km to 24,000 km. If in doubt, consult the owner's manual to find out the correct recommended replacement cycle.
In addition, when the filter hose appears aging or cracks caused by dirt, dust, oil and other dirt, it is necessary to replace the hose in time.
